Digital Financial Service and Financial Sector Development in Nigeria

Abstract:

This research investigates the role of digital financial services in fostering financial sector development in Nigeria. Using time-series data, the study explores how mobile banking, automated teller machines (ATMs), and electronic fund transfers influence financial inclusion and depth. The results indicate a strong positive correlation between digital finance adoption and the overall efficiency of the banking sector. The study recommends further investment in digital infrastructure to bridge the financial inclusion gap in rural areas.
