Impact of Corruption, Unemployment and Inflation on Economic Growth in Nigeria

Abstract:

This study investigates the combined impact of corruption, unemployment, and inflation on Nigeria’s economic growth. Using an econometric approach, the findings suggest that corruption significantly hampers growth by misallocating public resources, while high inflation reduces purchasing power and discourages investment. The study concludes that unless the government aggressively tackles institutional corruption and creates a stable macroeconomic environment, efforts to reduce unemployment will remain ineffective.
